ode to awesome papa

10 things I love about my husband:

1. He is the best daddy in the whole world. His adoration of our kiddos is visible, joyous and unmistakable.

2. He makes us breakfast every weekend. And does the dishes!

3. He laughs loud and proud.

4. He is sexy. He really is. Sometimes I just look at him and think, wow!

5. He works so hard to support our family and I really appreciate that he has given up working in the kitchen to make a better wage so I can stay home and take care of our babies. I wonder if he knows how much I really do love him for this?

6. He makes yummy food for us and is a foodie, which to me is just sexy!

7. He's a dreamer.

8. He is not boring! He keeps me entertained and is always interesting to be around.

9. He is happy. Sounds simple, but seriously, this guy finds the good, happy, wonderful things in everything.

10. He is magic! He listens to spirit, is guided by god (his version), and pays attention to what the universe wants for him and us.

I love you baby, forever and always. You are my best friend and the perfect mate for me!

52 weeks :: 3

I am loving being apart of this!

getting into a groove?

Wow! Blogging on a regular basis is really hard! I have so many ideas, but no time to sit down and organize them, get my pics ready, etc. How does everyone do it?? I am now in even bigger awe at all you daily bloggers, it really takes something.

Baby steps, right?

52 weeks, my kids and me

I recently found Emilie's blog after I purchased one of her ADORABLE little dollies for A. She posted about this flickr group. I think this is one of the best ideas I have ever heard of! I hardly ever make sure to take a picture of myself with my kiddos. I take tons of pictures of them with Don, but have very few with me. When I look over all of E's baby pictures, there are maybe 5 pictures with he and I. It makes me really sad because we can't go back and have a re-do. So I decided to join this group as a way for me to get in front of the camera. I'm going to try and get over my self consciousness and just do it.

This is the first one I submitted last week:

And this weeks:

Aren't we cute?

chubbas has a girlfriend...

just in time for Valentine's day!

Her name is Isa and they take dance class together. They made each other valentine's. Here's the one he made for her:

Of course, when they are together, they totally ignore each other. But Isa's mom says that she talks about him all the time...

What a little prince charming!

happy four months!

My sweet little baby girl is 4 months old today! I can't believe it! Time is really flying...

You right now:

You love your brother so much. You watch him all the time, can't take your eyes of him. He, of course, totally loves you right back. He thinks you are funny and cute and always gives you kisses.

I don't know, but you may be starting to get your teeth. You are chewing on your sweet little hand all the time. I bought you a cute little dolly teething ring but you don't really want to chew on it yet.

Your little thighs are so chubby and sweet. I could nibble on them all day long if I could get away with getting nothing else done!

You have a big huge grin just like your brother and Daddy!

You kind of rolled the other day. You were slightly propped up and I walked out of the room. When I came back, you were on your belly.

You have really long monkey toes. I think when you learn to walk you will use your toes to climb trees.

You are trying to talk to us. Making baby noises that only you understand.
On the day you were born:
Today:
Your mommy loves you so much! I love having a little girl, more than I thought I would! Happy 4 months little boop. I am so happy to have you in my life!

french toast picnic dinner

Last night Don decided to make French Toast for dinner... Yummy!

Then Chubbas asked to have a picnic, not sure where he got that from, but we thought, yeah-good idea!

We grabbed a blanket and plopped right on the living room floor for a spontaneous picnic dinner! It was a lot of fun, even with getting the syrup all over the place!

We shall have to do this again (but without the syrup).

cleaning and lounging

We had a really relaxing weekend, can you tell?
On Saturday, my wonderful husband took the kiddos away so I could clean! The past few weeks have been difficult in the keeping a tidy house department. I start getting all depressed and weird when the house is a mess, so I asked for a little no kid time to do more than pick up toys.
It was such a great day! Silly, I know, to get so excited about cleaning. But, it was very relaxing and it felt so good to have it all done. Even if it only lasted for an hour-tops! Now the house feels good again and I feel sane again, can't ask for more than that, right?
Then we did some serious lounging around, relaxing and cuddling.
I love days like these...
