milestones

We have reached some exciting milestones around here.

1. That little tooth finally popped all the way through! So we officially have our first tooth. Now, maybe we will try some more real food, or not. Nursing is so much easier!

2. Boop is sitting up all by herself without tipping over! She is now majorly working the tummy time trying to figure out how to crawl. All have to say is I am not ready for a toddler just yet, so she can just stay put. I'm okay with that!

3. Are you ready?? This is a big one! Drum roll please.....

Chubbas is potty trained! We had our first no pull up night last night and for at least two weeks, no battles, no arguments and no accidents! (well, maybe one) He tells us when he has to go and just decided the potty is where the big boys go. This has been a real struggle for well over a year. Everyone said he would do it when he was ready, and they were right! I am so very proud of my BIG BOY!

Where you will find me this summer...

under the big top

The circus just came to town and, of course, we had to take Chubbas. It was a cute little circus, where they let you come down during intermission to ride the elephants and pet the goats. Although a late night, we had a lot of fun. (But the clowns were lame, so they don't get picture space here!)

This is the look of tired fascination!

a new (old) me

I have been feeling waaaaaay too housewify lately. I mean, seriously! What happened to me? When did I become this boring, pony tail wearing, frumpy old housewife? So, I decided it was time for a makeover.

This is me a couple of weeks ago when Don and I went out for dinner.

I thought I looked pretty good that night, but still not feeling fun or spunky and I used to look fun and spunky and *hot* before becoming a mom. Now, I am lucky if I get a shower and out of my sweats on any given day.

So, I did it. I whacked my hair off, and VOILA...

Here I am, a new me!!

I feel so much better, cute and fun again! And, I've been working on that sweat pant problem a little bit as well...

Now, time to get to going on these extra pounds that seem to have found their way onto my butt while making my babies (again another mystery-how did that happen?)...

howdy partner!

Chubbas is totally diggin' being a cowboy lately. Don's aunt bought him a pair of cowboy boots and he is just the cutest little cowboy ever! Everywhere we go he has to have on his hat and boots. People are just swooning at the sight of him. My heart melts as soon as I hear the sound of "clump clump clump" as he is running around the house. And the things he says, "Mama, can you make me some cowboy toast?"

And then, of course, we have to have some cowboy dancing...

without clothes!

busy busy busy

We have had more playdates, more time in the car, more projects this week than we have had in awhile. Hence, the lack of posts this week. But, I am still here and hoping to do some blogging catch up this weekend...

They are so cute!

one of our favorite people

Eedu!!

That is the name E came up with for my aunt. Aunt Lou, Eedu, makes sense to me. She was always "Aunt New" to me, but now we lovingly refer to her as Eedu.

Eedu came over for a little playdate with the kiddos a few weeks ago and I am just now putting these pictures up. Chubbas loves, loves, loves his eedu. He talks about her all the time and likes to call her on the phone and going to her house to play. He was so excited to have her over on this day, pulled out all his kitchen equipment to make her a yummy meal. We had a lot of fun.

I am so very grateful to have my aunt live close by. I feel really lucky to be so close to her and that she gets to be apart of my life and my kiddos lives. Eedu really helped my mom out alot while I was growing up. My sister and I even had our own room at her house. Sometimes it really does take a village and the one I grew up in was full of love.
